a wedding at the ribault club | amelia island
Emmy and Christian got married on Amelia Island back in January at the Ribault Club. It was the most beautiful winter day by the coast. One thing I love about the Ribault club is the ceremony space. I’m sure as you look through these photos, you’ll agree too!! It was such a classic East Florida Coast wedding to me. Their wedding on Amelia Island was filled with large mossy oaks with white cloth draped between the branches. White walls along the building. A checkered dance floor, live band, and one heck of a party! Definitely a 2020 favorite for sure!
Emmy and Christian met working at the same hospital. He is in med school and she had just graduated nursing school. I mean some serious Grays Anatomy vibes if you ask me. They have the biggest personalities!! Their love language is fun and they never stop laughing. But they are also two of the most intentional people you could ever meet too. I remember that most about Emmy from college. She has a way of genuinely getting to know people. She has a desire to know your heart and it’s one of the best qualities anyone could have in a friend. Christian is that way too and I think that’s one of the ways they fit together so well.
I got to hang out with them during their engagement pics. I honestly don’t think we stopped talking or laughing the whole time. We bonded over the fact that we’re all three Enneagram 7’s, want to make the best out of every situation, and have fun with whatever we’re given. Those qualities were found throughout their wedding day too. Since their wedding was somewhat of a destination wedding for their friends and family, they had the best idea of inviting everyone out for a game of mini golf the night before to celebrate! Emmy said that was her favorite part of their whole day. They got to hang out with every single wedding guest before the wedding and it felt much more like a wedding weekend than a wedding day.
On January 25th, they were surrounded by their friends and family and one of the best bridal parties I’ve ever had!! If I had one word to describe their day I think it would be love. Emmy and Christian love well, are loved by their people even more, and have a big heart for Jesus and serving His Kingdom. There is nothing better than the sweet love of Jesus and these two show that so well. Their wedding on Amelia Island was one I’d love to live over and over again.
